[Closed] Hiring: CG/VFX Producer and Producer Assistant

  • Note: Applications for these positions are now closed.

IDENCE is a video production company that makes the visions of companies and society easy to understand, built on visual technology spanning 3DCG and live-action filming.

Our past projects include Nikon Future Vision for CES 2024, Kawasaki Heavy Industries' ALICE SYSTEM Concept Movie for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, and Keio University and Taisei Corporation's Vortex City Future Vision, each giving shape to a vision of the future or a concept through video.

What we create is not just video, but experiences that make the future a little easier to feel.
We take care to organize the still-vague ideas and requests our clients have, shape them into a form that communicates, and take responsibility for seeing them through production.

We are hiring a CG/VFX Producer to play a central role in this work, or a Producer Assistant who will grow into that role.

(1) CG/VFX Producer

Responsibilities

You will be in charge of every aspect of producing CG/VFX projects.

Specifically, you will:

  • Organize each client's requests and background, and define the project requirements
  • Work with directors to launch projects and shape proposals
  • Plan and manage estimates, budgets, schedules, and internal and external resources
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables
  • Produce live-action shoots when needed

The most important part of this role is defining requirements.
Rather than taking a client's stated requests at face value, we value the ability to work out what is truly worth making and translate it into planning and production.
Above all, we value the ability to see the big picture from the earliest stages, understand it accurately, and move things forward without anything falling through the cracks.

Qualifications

Required

  • At least two years of professional experience
  • Experience in client relations or project management
  • An interest in video, CG, and VFX
  • Sympathy with IDENCE's mission of visualizing visions for society
  • An understanding of the startup environment and the ability to take initiative
  • The habit of reporting, communicating, and consulting frequently

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience in the video industry
  • CG production experience
  • An understanding of CG
  • An understanding of filming
  • Experience in related roles such as production coordinator, PM, AP, or AD

Who We're Looking For

  • Someone who can grasp what clients really mean and work out what should be made
  • Someone who never compromises on quality and takes an interest in the substance of the work
  • Someone who communicates thoughtfully and can bring people inside and outside the company on board smoothly
  • Someone who can weigh deadlines, budgets, and resources together and make realistic decisions and adjustments while balancing them against quality
  • Someone who carries things through thoroughly and responsibly, without anything slipping through the cracks
  • Someone who takes responsibility for the whole team and process rather than drawing lines around their own tasks, and helps the company grow stronger by building systems and making improvements

(2) CG/VFX Producer Assistant

Responsibilities

As a Producer Assistant, you will mainly support the progress of CG/VFX projects.
Over time, we expect you to work toward becoming a Producer who leads entire projects.

Specifically, you will:

  • Support project management under a producer
  • Manage schedules, prepare documents, and coordinate with external staff
  • Handle communication with clients and organize meeting notes
  • Review work, handle deliveries, and take care of various coordination tasks
  • Depending on your aptitude, help organize plans and assist with simple proposals

If you have no industry experience, your manager will support you.
That said, this is not simply administrative work; we hope you will eventually be in a position to grasp the essence of each project and move it forward.
